We take our commitment to our clients, our team and the world around us very seriously. We recognise that our business values must meet their expectations as well as our own. gm-design is committed to a corporate social responsibility programme that fits with our values of honesty and transparency and is supported by everyone who works with us. Our approach to CSR covers 3 key areas:

Our Team

We believe that the way we treat our team and how they treat each other underpins a happy workplace. We actively promote respect, honesty and collaboration in the way we work together and in dealing with our clients and suppliers.

We enjoy having a team that actively promotes diversity and equal opportunities. All team members have become a part of the gm-design team based purely on the skills and capability that are required for their role. We are committed to continually developing and enhancing each team member’s skills and capabilities by offering mentoring and access to training such as Skillshare.

Our Community

Giving back to our local community is very important to us, so we support local charities by offering pro bono design and branding work every year.

We started working with Exeter Food Bank in 2018 and over the years have aided their promotional activities with infographics, visuals for social media and promotional flyers – sustainable consumption being a focal point of their communication.

When we met the founders of Don’t Bet Your Life On It, a player-led initiative to promote safer gambling, we were inspired to help them create meaningful change within the gambling industry. By supporting them with presentation material to win funding, followed by a website and Facebook & Twitter social media channels, we’ve proudly helped to bring their vision to life.

Our Environment

We actively encourage all team members to be aware of the potential impact that our business has on the environment. We ask all team members to source suppliers and materials responsibly and take public transport to business meetings wherever possible. In addition, we encourage our team to print less and recycle more. We encourage our clients to ensure their communications are clear about their values when it comes to sustainability and support them with content creation in this area.
